We have started the first reproductions of the Volturno native trout. It was a December of great activity, in the field and in the university laboratories, where the freezing of the semen of the males who had already arrived at the reproductive sites and where the genetic analyzes were carried out took place. The first eggs, produced just before Christmas and fertilized with the cryobank seed, are incubating in their home in Rocchetta at the source of the Volturno.
