This morning the transferability actions in Romanian territory started and the appointment was at the Balea stream, in one of the most important Danube catchment areas in Romania.
During the morning, NatSalmo’s technical-scientific team illustrated the procedures and methodologies developed by our project in Molise waters to the partnership present, represented by the Universities of Sibiu and Iasi.
It began with the capture of Danubian brown trout breeders with electro-fishing,
to then continue with the removal of the fin for genetic analysis
and finally with a cocooning simulation
In the afternoon, back in Sibiu, in the laboratory of the Lucian Blaga University, genetic analyzes were carried out first
and then the protocol for cryopreservation of the fresh Danubian brown trout seed collected in the morning was put in place
