The first Open Forum of the Nat.Sal.Mo. project was held on 5 December in the conference room of the Molise Region in Campobasso.
\nIt was an information and training meeting aimed at the administrators and technicians of the local authorities involved in various capacities in the management and planning of the two river basins covered by the River Contracts – Biferno and Alto Volturno – and those of the municipal administrations whose territories are directly affected by the presence of the two rivers:
\n\u2022to illustrate the general characteristics, the organization and management methods, the capabilities of action of the River Contract instrument;
\n\u2022to make understand the commitment required of all stakeholders for the proper conduct of a River Contract route but also the opportunities it can offer;
\n\u2022 to recognize the role of local authorities within a CdF path.<\/p>\n
Introduced by Stefano Raimondi (LAM), who briefly illustrated its general objectives, the meeting continued with Nicolaia Iaffaldano, project manager, who explained in detail the overall path of the Project, clarifying its specific objectives and underlining the high scientific value and the innovative component of some of the planned initiatives.
\nGiuseppe Dodaro and Giancarlo Gusmaroli of the Italian Center for River Redevelopment (CIRF) illustrated below the general characteristics of the River Contracts and the specific objectives of the two paths envisaged within our project.
\nDodaro explained the reasons that led to the creation of the CdF, the state of application and diffusion in Italy, the basic characteristics – as defined in the Guidelines drawn up by MATTM and ISPRA – also referring to their national regulatory recognition (art. 68bis of Legislative Decree 152\/2006) and regional (art.6bis of LR 42\/2005). Gusmaroli dealt in detail with the essential components of the course, the roles of all the stakeholders, the general objectives and the sphere of intervention of the river contracts.
\nThe meeting ended with a debate during which the roles of the various local authorities and the possibilities of synergy with other participatory paths already launched in the areas of interest were better clarified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
