The fusion of different specializations allows the group to be at the forefront in research in aquaculture, ichthyology, aquatic ecology, biotechnology and the dissemination of environmental sciences. The Mediterranean Trout Research Group is the promoter of Italian guidelines for appropriate actions to mitigate the effects of global climate change on native fish populations.
